Hi, I’m Heather. The gal behind the numbers.
In my early teens, the seeds of Heather Byron Bookkeeping were unknowingly planted. Looking for extra spending money, my entrepreneur father put me to work reconciling his bank ledger. My knack for numbers - and the forgiveness of pencil on paper ledgers as I learned - sparked an interest I would return to again and again.
Fast forward to present-day. I now have 15 years of professional bookkeeping experience and business management.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business Finance and completed extensive training to become a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor. Read more about my credentials here.
While working hard, I also make space for plenty of play. I frequent the gym and enjoy weightlifting, another extension of my love of numbers and calculations. Free time is also dedicated to my husband, my dogs, bourbon tasting, enjoying the great outdoors, building jigsaw puzzles, and searching out my next tattoo design.

Bookkeeping and business operations are hand-in-hand my core areas of expertise. Alongside my work ethic, attention to detail, and partnership approach, I am equipped with the technical skills and professional capacity to deliver services that fit your business needs.
Business Ownership
I am a business owner just like you. I understand the challenges embedded in business ownership as well as the rewards and opportunities presented with entrepreneurship.
My first business was a brick-and-mortar vintage furniture store located in Denver’s well-known South Broadway Antique Row. Co-owned with my husband, Lee Alex Decor, LLC was a rewarding endeavor and one that evolved into my husband’s current business - Block Furniture—crafting custom wood and metal furniture.
During 8 years in retail, I managed day-to-day business operations and all facets of bookkeeping:
- Managed entries and reconciliations in QuickBooks
- Calculated and processed payroll, payroll tax filings and payments, and managed workers compensation reports
- Tracked all local and state licensing requirements and renewal deadlines
- Researched and analyzed financial reports
- Mapped and analyzed business strategies to maintain profitability
And now, I own and operate Heather Byron Bookkeeping. I work with over 50 clients, achieving this goal: ensuring clients’ books are in order so their businesses can grow and thrive. I have done so in a way that meets each client where they are at in their accounting journeys - from tattoo artists to textile makers, design professionals to fitness studios, storytellers to publicists, and many more. Additional Experience
I also have relevant employment experience, including 4 years as a Tax Specialist for Restaurant Solutions, Inc. Relevant duties included:
- Calculated, prepared, and paid all payroll and sales tax filings on behalf of Restaurant Solutions’ clients nationwide (Yes, I know sales tax procedures in all 50 states!)
- Advised clients on record keeping, tax compliance, and accounts receivable collections procedures

Education & Training
In May 2011, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from the Metropolitan State College of Denver. Continuing education - both formally and informally - have since helped me grow as a bookkeeper and business owner. Through extensive training and testing, I have earned and maintained my status as a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor.
